Towards Trustworthy Internet Naming Infrastructure

摘要
Almost every online activity starts with a query to the Domain Name System (DNS), a foundational component of the Internet. Given its critical role, DNS has been a prime target for cyberattacks, which can lead to Internet-wide outages and compromise various online systems. In this talk, I will present our research on tackling fundamental security challenges faced by modern DNS, focusing on the systematic analysis and mitigation of denial-of-service vulnerabilities inherent to its design. In addition, I will chart a path towards achieving a trustworthy domain name infrastructure and, by extension, a trustworthy Internet at large.
