Heterogeneity in Multivariate Time Series: Comprehensive Analysis and Adaptive Modeling

摘要
In recent years, Multivariate Time Series (MTS) forecasting methods have developed rapidly. However, inconsistencies in model performance, insufficiently rigorous evaluation, and divergent methodological choices across studies have led to significant challenges in comprehensive benchmarking, architectural design, and robust forecasting. To address these issues, this talk will first introduce BasicTS, a standard and scalable benchmarking framework that enables fair and reproducible evaluation for heterogeneous time series models, followed by a systematic discussion on the heterogeneity of MTS and the resulting challenges. The second part of the talk will focus on adaptive robust modeling methods, covering deep time-series selective learning, balanced sampling-based corpus construction, and feature-aware model recommendation techniques, aiming to enhance the adaptability and robustness of time series forecasting models.
