The laboratory, with "Metaverse + Education" as its core application direction, is committed to promoting the innovative process of "Metaverse integration of industry, academia, and research". Driven by this mission, our goal is to create a Metaverse Workshops platform. This platform is a Metaverse virtual maker space integrating seminar teaching, social interaction, experimental simulation, and content creation. Based on this platform, we will conduct research on: (1) Digital human technology based on large-scale model intelligent agents, (2) Multisensory human-computer interaction technology in virtual space, (3) Virtual embodiment technology based on real-time collection of human body data, (4) Metaverse content generation technology based on artificial intelligence, and (5) Social adaptability research on Metaverse teaching.
《元莱飞训超越现实》元莱飞训项目是香港科技大学（广州）元宇宙联合创新实验室的红鸟硕士项目，即通过VR技术打造无人机虚拟仿真平台，模拟紧急险情情况下的无人机操作，从而减少对真实无人机的依赖。这一创新减少了物理资源的消耗和环境影响。元宇宙联合创新实验室团队中有一名信息枢纽的博士生，四名来自不同学域的红鸟硕士以及两名实验室研究员，他们研究方向包括多模态反馈，用户生理反应监控，数字人教学以及元宇宙于教育的应用探索。整合不同方向的研究，元莱飞训期望能为元宇宙的教学场景提供更多实践经验。
