Navigating Spatial Omics with Artificial Intelligence

The emerging field of spatial omics, featured by high-resolution spatially-resolved transcriptomics and proteomics, offers unprecedented opportunities for investigating the organizations of molecules and cells in their native contexts. The voluminous and complex nature of the data necessitates the applications of artificial intelligence methods. This presentation will explore research projects that employ both supervised and unsupervised learning methods to decode the complex spatial omics data. Disease-relevant biological insights can be extracted from these AI-driven methodologies to inform future diagnostics and therapeutics. These efforts highlight the potential of broader applications of artificial intelligence tools to spatial omics in advancing the frontiers of biomedical research.
