Bridging Academia and Industry: The Evolution of Applying Decision Intelligence Optimization
ABSTRACT
The development of enterprise informatization in China has been ongoing for over 20 years and has achieved significant accomplishments. In recent years, an increasing number of businesses have started to prioritize decision intelligence optimization algorithms. These algorithms can help optimize resource utilization, efficiently schedule tasks and work sequences, improve productivity and production capacity, while reducing costs and enhancing business planning and decision-making processes, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and competitiveness.
However, the application of decision intelligence optimization algorithms faces challenges, with the primary challenge being the strong demand for algorithm customization. This entails the need to develop algorithms tailored to the specific circumstances of each enterprise, resulting in increased development costs and time requirements, along with high expectations for the abilities of algorithm developers. This impedes the application and adoption of decision algorithms in enterprises.
The speaker has over a decade of research and practical experience in the field of decision optimization and has been devoted to exploring cost-effective and efficient approaches to providing high-quality decision optimization algorithms for logistics and manufacturing enterprises. The speaker constantly seeks effective methods to translate research achievements into practical productivity, bridging the gap between academia and industry. The presentation will introduce the speaker's research interests, technical approaches, academic research, and practical accomplishments. The speaker will also present their algorithmic products, Domain Solvers, developed to address the challenge of customization in decision optimization algorithms, and share successful experiences of its application.
Lastly, the speaker will outline his development plan for the next five years, focusing on academic research, decision algorithm platforms, scenario repositories, instance data centers, decision algorithm products, and market-oriented companies.
